1) Login to your Windows VPS as Administrator.

3) Select Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.

1) First you will have to create a copy of smtp_psa by using the command given below :

# cp /etc/xinetd.d/smtp_psa /etc/xinetd.d/smtp_nonstandard

2) Now add the lines given below to it,

#vi /etc/xinetd.d/smtp_nonstandard

Enter “UNLISTEDport = 2525” <>Now you will have to change the service name and keep it the same as the file name.

3) Restart xinetd by using the following command.

# /etc/init.d/xinetd restart

Now you will be able to send emails through the port available.

Change the line safe_mode = on to safe_mode = off.

2) On Windows VPS the path for Plesk is C:\\windows\php.ini.

Note : Once you have followed the steps correctly, you will have to restart your web server so that the changes take place.

You can also turn off the PHP through Plesk control panel. Follow the steps given below to do so :

1) Login to your Plesk control panel.

2) Now go to Domains.

3) Select the domain name you wish to change the PHP safe mode for. Then select Group options which is located on the upper part of the Domains page.

4) Look for Hosting options below.

5) Now search the line “PHP ‘safe_mode’ on”.

6) Under the Disable column, tick the radio button.

Now the safe mode is Off and you will be able to run the applications which require PHP safe mode Off.

4) Enter the password you wish to have and then you can login in to Plesk interface.

Note : Once you change your password, make sure that you remember it or you will not be able to login into the Plesk control panel again. If this happens then you will face  a lot of problems as you will have to contact your web hosting provider and ask for password.
